The NLEC has two advisors on staff that provide confidential, one-on-one information, assistance and advice to employers and employer representatives on a variety of employment related matters.
Other NLEC staff, board members and the NLEC’s network of member employers are also available as a resource to share information and provide advice on employment related issues.

Free Services to ALL NL Employers
The following services are available to ALL employers in the province free of charge:
Assistance and advice on workers’ compensation issues, including:
- researching and filing WHSCC and WHSCRD appeals,
- assistance with the case management process within WHSCC,
- understanding the assessment process and assisting in assessment appeals.
Assistance and advice on occupational health & safety requirements, including:
- review of employer OH&S programs and policies,
- assistance with PRIME, and
- advice for OH&S committees on complex issues

Confidential One-on-one Assistance to Members
Advisors and other NLEC staff can provide confidential one-on-one assistance and advice on the following matters free of charge to NLEC members:
- Employment Law including Labour Standards, Labour Relations, and Human Rights
- Best practices in Human Resource Management & Labour Standards
- Development of employment policies, handbooks, and employment contracts, including samples and templates where available
- Discipline and Discharge issues
- Attendance Management
- Recruitment
- Responsibilities under Federal and Provincial Privacy Legislation in relation to employment
- Collective bargaining
- Employment Insurance Benefits
